Iva:David Copperfield

Title:David Copperfield
Author:Charles Dickens
Copyright Date:1850

Genre:Fiction/Autobiographical Novel

The story centers around the life of David Copperfield from early childhood to his maturity. It is all told by David himself, being the narrator. It all starts with the birth of Copperfield in 1820 in England.Unfortunately, his father had died before he was born, and seven years later his mother marries the cruel Mr. Edward Murdstone.David has a good reason not to like his stepfather-he always critizes him for being a little bit behind with his studies than other students.Because one of these critcs,David bites Murdstone;consequently he is sent away to a boarding school.Luckily,he makes friends with James and Tommy, both of whom he meets later.
The book than continues with David telling us about the time when he came back to London to find his only relative-aunt Miss Betsey. She agrees to bring him up and she changes his name to "Trotwood Copperfield",which soon was shortened to "Trot".It then all follows David as he grows older(adulthood) and the many well-known characters who enter, leave or re-enter his life again and again. These his first housekeeper Peggotty, his mother, her family and their niese Emily.
The last chapters of the book mostly tell us about the romance and real love with Agnes-a sensible young woman, who had secretly loved him always. They marry and have several children,of whom one is named in honour of Aunt Betsey Trotwood.

The book is very enetertaining, and once you start reading it you may not be able to stop.I was enchanted by the whole life of David Copperfield-it was interesting to read about it,and evertyhing that happens to him,the people that enter and leave his life.It also may give us some lessons or tips on how to live our lives, and what to do or not to do like it happened with me.Everyone should read it,it's not worthless.
